The attic renovation presented another significant challenge, as the goal was to transform it into two residential units. The execution was quite demanding, but—as always—it was successful. Detailed execution plans for the project were missing, meaning everything had to be arranged and negotiated on the fly (or as we went along). Nevertheless, we ultimately managed this challenge as well.
What did the complete construction in the unused attic space include? The work encompassed the structural shell, made from ceramic masonry, interior partitions constructed with Ytong blocks, drywall ceilings (or plasterboard ceilings), insulation of the roof envelope with glass wool, and the installation of wall and floor tiles.
The delivery of the roof windows and roofing material was delayed by two months, which consequently extended the completion of the construction. However, we responded proactively by implementing thorough protective measures and laying a highly breathable membrane over the existing foil. Thanks to these efforts, everything turned out well in the end, albeit a little later than planned.
"The renovation was successfully finished despite a complex course."
